Visa Consultation / Eligibility Assessment

The assessment can be undertaken via email, face-to-face in our Sydney office, or Video call.

The purpose is to:

Review your situation and advise on the available visa pathways
Provide an assessment of your eligibility
Outline the key stages of the application process
Indicative processing time and cost for each option

Assessment timeframes: allow 3-5 working days for initial review. On review of your documentation, we will arrange a consultation time with you.

Steps for Consultation

Our consultations are a paid service, the cost is from A$275.00 which covers:

1. Initial Consultation and Information Gathering

Personal Information: We collect essential details including age, nationality, marital status, and current visa status, if applicable.
Purpose of Migration: Determine the reason for the visa—skilled, business or family.
Skills and Qualifications: We review the applicant’s CV or resume outlining qualifications, work experience, and relevant certifications.
Language Proficiency: Assess language skills if the visa requires it (e.g., IELTS, PTE for Australia).
Health and Character Requirements: Confirm that the applicant meets health and character standards, as these are often mandatory.

2. Review Visa Categories and Requirements

Analyse Visa Options: Based on the applicant’s profile, we identify possible visa categories (e.g., skilled migration, employer-sponsored, family).
Eligibility Requirements: We carefully check specific requirements such as age limits, work experience, points system, and sponsorship needs.
Research Current Rules and Policies: Qualifications are checked against the Country Education Profile as comparable to the Australian education system. We review options against the latest Migration Regulations and polices.

3. Points Test (if applicable)

If applying for a points-based visa, we calculate the applicant's points for age, work experience, education, and language.
Preliminary Points Calculation: We provide assess the applicant’s score against the based on the applicant’s credentials and information provided to determine initial eligibility.

4. Skills Assessment

Where a skills assessment is required, we identify the relevant assessing authority.
Explain the skills assessment process, including documentation, fees and timelines.

5. Assess Sponsorship and Nomination Requirements

If employer-sponsored, confirm that the employer is eligible to sponsor, and that the job meets the visa criteria.
Review the sponsorship and nomination processes, which may involve additional applications by the employer.

6. Prepare a Visa Strategy and Timeline

Outline a step-by-step visa strategy, including potential application deadlines.
Provide a timeline of each stage, including estimated processing times.

7. Provide a Cost Estimate

We work on fixed fee agreements. Our fees depend on the complexity of the matter and the time involved.

Next Steps

Should you wish to engage our services, we will issue a client agreement to commence work on the visa matter.

We will then collect all necessary documentation and information required to prepare and support your visa application.
